Widespread Panic wrapped a two-night stand at Credit One Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday. After welcoming Doom Flamingo's Kanika Moore on night one, the band brought out guitarist and opener Daniel Donato for Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime” and WSP favorite “Surprise Valley” during the encore for night two.

Panic launched the concert with “Bust It Big” followed by “Wondering.” The band then paired up “Little Lilly” and “Rock.” Just the third rendition of new tune “Tackle Box Hero” came next. WSP debuted the song on January 17 at their Panic en la Playa destination event in Mexico, as per Everyday Companion.

“Tackle Box Hero” flowed into “I’m Not Alone” ahead of another newish tune, “Halloween Face,” appropriately unveiled on Halloween 2021 in New Orleans. “One Armed Steve” counted as the penultimate song of the first frame before the band capped the set with “Action Man.”

The classic “Holden Oversoul” began the second set followed by a “Good People”/”Dark Bar” sandwich. Standalone versions of “Honky Red” and “Ain’t Life Grand” came next before Panic stretched out on “Party At Your Mama’s House,” which clocked in at nearly 15 minutes. A flurry of oldies, “Ribs & Whiskey,” “Pilgrims,” “Greta” and “Fishwater,” brought the second set to a close.

WSP returned with guitarist Daniel Donato in tow to kick off the encore with an expansive “Surprise Valley.” Donato crushed the guest spot, tearing into the tune’s first solo sequence with a muti-peak run. Daniel stayed on for a raucous rendition of Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime.” Frontman John Bell led the band through the tune before turning things over to Donato who added another smoking, extended solo on the Fear Of Music cut to put an exclamation point on the concert.
