Last night Widespread Panic kicked off their annual destination event Panic En La Playa Seis at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Riviera Maya. Fans that made the trek to Mexico were presented with two sets of WSP, marking the first of four of the band’s performances. Panic En La Playa Seis got underway with the group offering up “One Arm Steve.” The first set of 2017 largely stuck to classic WSP material, including “Weight Of The World,” “Bear’s Gone Fishin,’” “Blight” and a closing cover of “Climb To Safety.” Set two highlights included “Disco” played within “Driving Song” followed by “Drums” and “Solid Rock” played within “Proving Ground.” The apt choice of “Vacation” began the encore and “Bust It Big” brought night one at Panic En La Playa Seis to close.
