As reported, Colorado jam act The String Cheese Incident concluded a stellar run of three shows at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Sunday with a concert filled with surprises. One such surprise was the SCI debut of the beloved Garcia/Hunter Grateful Dead song “Brown-Eyed Women” featuring special guest Tyler Grant of opening act The Grant Farm.
The String Cheese Incident began their first of two encores last Sunday with a soaring rendition of “Black Clouds” featuring Chris Pandolfi and Andy Hall of The Infamous Stringdusters. Next up was the aforementioned cover of “Brown-Eyed Women.” Bassist Keith Moseley handled lead vocals on SCI’s version of “Brown-Eyed Women.” Tyler Grant, who also sat-in earlier in the evening on “Get Tight,” threw in plenty of Garcia-esque riffs to his guitar solo.
