Watch Sharon Jones Cover ‘Psycho Killer’ At David Byrne Tributes

We’re still reeling from the news of Sharon Jones‘ death, three days after word of her passing was officially revealed. Yesterday we learned about Jones’ final days and we weren’t surprised to hear she was singing right up until the end. Sharon has sang many covers over the years and today we want to point out the wonderful rendition of a Talking Heads classic she performed at a 2015 tribute to David Byrne.
On March 23, 2015 Jones was one of the stars of The Music Of David Byrne & Talking Heads at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The concert was part of an annual The Music Of series held at the famed venue put together each year by impresario Michael Dorf. Jones provided a highlight of the evening by leading Antibalas through a powerful version of “Psycho Killer.” Check out footage from the event itself as well as her performance of “Psycho Killer” from the previous night’s rehearsal concert at City Winery:
