Warren Haynes Announces 3 More Socially Distanced Outdoor Concerts

By Andy Kahn Aug 31, 2020 12:09 pm PDT

Warren Haynes added three additional socially distanced shows at South Farms in Morris, Connecticut. The Gov’t Mule guitarist sold out his two previously announced concerts that will also be held at South Farms as part of the venue’s Twilight Concerts on The Farm series.

Haynes will be joined by his Mule band mate, multi-instrumentalist Danny Louis, for portions of the newly confirmed shows taking place on October 1, 8 and 15. Louis will also accompany Haynes at the pair of sold-out performances scheduled for September 12 and 13. Each night will feature two sets.

Haynes shared the statement below:

Like everyone else I’ve been jonesing to play live in front of an audience but was in no hurry to thrust myself, or my audience, into the wrong situation. After speaking with some friends who just played at South Farms and had great experiences, I was ready to move ahead. Due to the quick sellout of the first two shows, we’ve decided to add some more since the venue is close to home and I don’t foresee hitting the road anytime soon. I’m looking at these added October shows as our “Fall Tour.” The opportunity to play multiple nights, along with Danny, who I’ve been playing music with for well over 20 years, is especially exciting and full of amazing possibilities.

Per order of the state, the venue has a reduced capacity of 25%. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1 at 12 p.m. ET. Note: due to Connecticut’s Executive Order, “individuals from a state with a positive COVID test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or higher than a 10% test positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average will not be able to attend any of the shows.” Find more information here.
