[Updated] Photos, Videos & Setlist: Dave Matthews Band’s Super Thursday Night At Pier 70

Dave Matthews Band held the “Super Thursday Night” concert this past Thursday at San Francisco’s Pier 70 as part of DIRECTV and Pepsi’s concert series leading up to Super Bowl 50 on Sunday. DMB delivered one long career-spanning set to help kick off the festivities surrounding the Big Game this weekend at Levi’s Stadium in nearby Santa Clara, California.

Opening the show with “Warehouse,” Matthews was backed by his full band from the start of the performance, eschewing the solo acoustic opening of recent DMB appearances. Built specifically to host shows during Super Bowl week, the opening song selection was quite fitting given the structure of the new Pier 70 venue. Three songs in the band struck up “Satellite” – another seemingly appropriate choice with DIRECTV’s involvement in the show. Other highlights in the set included “What Would You Say,” “Digging A Ditch,” “Don’t Drink The Water” and “Crash Into Me” featuring a “Kill The Preacher” tease.

Pier 70 will host a concert by Pharrell Williams tonight, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are playing the venue Saturday. Dave Matthews Band begins their Summer Tour at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas on May 11.
