Upstream Music Fest + Summit Announces 2018 Music Lineup Additions

The 2018 Upstream Music Fest + Summit will be held at Pioneer Square in Seattle on June 1 – 3. Organizers have revealed a number of additions to the music lineup for the event coming back for its second year.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Little Dragon, Miguel and SUPERDUPERKYLE were added to Upstream’s 2018 music slate. They join previously announced performers The Flaming Lips, Cut Copy, Valerie June and Zola Jesus. Seattle’s Meli Darby was again tapped to be the fest’s lead curator. Guest curators include Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic and Settle-based record label Sup Pop Records.

In addition to music, Upstream’s Summit will take place on June 1 at venues around Pioneer Square. Organized in partnership with the Recording Academy Pacific Northwest Chapter, the Summit will present:

12+ sessions focusing on the most pressing opportunities and challenges facing artist and music industry professionals today; including utilizing data to make marketing and touring decisions, how to hone and share your brand, demystifying contracts, artist well-being, and how to use tools like aggregators and metadata to make sound business decisions. These topics highlight new opportunities within the industry, artists can walk away with the ins and outs of the music industry.
