Umphrey’s McGee & moe. Cover Each Others Songs At Summer Camp 2013

This weekend the Summer Camp Music Festival returns to Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois. Jam stalwarts Umphrey’s McGee and moe. are the event’s traditional headliners and the groups covered each other’s songs at the 2013 installment of Summer Camp. High-quality footage of both covers can be viewed below.

On May 24, 2013 Umphrey’s McGee encored with a cover of moe.’s “Rebubula.” The moe. song was played regularly by UM during the band’s early days in 1998 and 1999. While guitarist Brendan Bayliss sat-in with moe. on “Rebubula” at the first Bonnaroo in 2002, Umphrey’s hadn’t performed the tune since June 24, 1999 – a span of 1,735 shows. Video of UM busting out “Rebubula” at SCamp ’13 shot from the soundboard surfaced soon after the performance:

The next night (May 25, 2013) moe. returned the favor by unveiling their rendition of the Umphrey’s McGee classic “In The Kitchen.” moe. debuted the UM song as their encore that night and have yet to play “In The Kitchen” again.
