Umphrey’s McGee & Lettuce Shows Won’t Take Place Tonight

By Scott Bernstein Jan 23, 2016 10:43 am PST

If we update yesterday’s list of shows that went on despite blizzards we won’t be able to count Umphrey’s McGee and Lettuce shows that were supposed to take place tonight among them. The UM show at NYC’s Beacon Theatre has been cancelled, while the Lettuce performance set for Port Chester, New York’s Capitol Theatre has been postponed due to a winter storm that is causing havoc in the Northeast. The blizzard led to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo issuing a travel ban.

A note from The Capitol Theatre about Lettuce reads, “‪#‎POSTPONEMENT‬! Due to severe weather conditions expected in Port Chester, our SAT, JAN 23 Lettuce w/ The London Souls concert has been postponed. The safety of our patrons, talent, and staff are paramount to us. The rescheduled date will be FRI, APR 8. Tickets for this postponed performance will be honored on the new date, so hang onto them! Refunds are available at place of purchase, or by calling Ticketfly at (877-435-9849).”

The Beacon Theatre has officially announced the cancellation of tonight’s UM show:

Read a note from the band:

Dear Umphrey’s fans,

Due to the ongoing blizzard conditions in New York, as well as the City-wide travel ban, we have no choice but to to cancel tonight’s show at the Beacon Theatre. We would love nothing more than to bring the heat and rock through the conditions, but for concerns for all of you as well as for legal reasons, we seriously have no choice.

We will work on a return date sometime later this year. For the time being, all ticket holders will be refunded per the details below from the Beacon Theatre.

Be safe out there.

Umphrey’s McGee

We hope all our readers affected by the storm stay safe!
