Umphrey’s McGee rolled out pro-shot video featuring their performance of “40’s Theme” from Chicago’s Lakefront Green on August 10. The clip from UM’s sold-out hometown concert comes in 4K high-definition and utilizes the 360° OverCapture technique.

The sextet’s performance at Lakefront Green was their debut at the outdoor venue. “40’s Theme” closed out the band’s first of two sets. Umphrey’s McGee tapped Flight School’s Pete Herzog to direct the video and serve as executive producer. Herzog’s aim was “to take old and new fans on a roller coaster ride to match the song’s potent riffs, crowd participation and varying time signatures,” as per text accompanying the video. UM previously released footage of “Push & Pull” from their hometown show. Additional clips from the concert will follow.
