Twiddle Performs On ‘The Dan Patrick Show’

Vermont jam quartet Twiddle served as the house band on Friday’s installment of The Dan Patrick Show. Twiddle performed a mix of covers and originals at the show’s Connecticut studios that were broadcast on radio stations nationwide as well as on the program’s televised simulcast.

Guitarist Mihali Savoulidis, drummer Brook Jordan, bassist Zdenek Gubb and keyboardist Ryan Dempsey played into and out of commercial breaks over the duration of Friday’s The Dan Patrick Show. Twiddle fit a few covers that were appropriate for the stoner holiday of 4/20 into the mix including Sublime’s “Smoke Two Joints” and Bob Marley’s “Stir It Up.”

Dan Patrick seemed especially enthused by a cover of Blues Traveler’s “Run-Around” featuring a taste of “The Simpsons Theme” within. Twiddle was given a little longer for truncated performances of originals “New Sun,” “Syncopated Healing,” “Daydream Farmer,” “When It Rains It Pours” and “Lost In The Cold.” The Dan Patrick Show usually ends with a recording of Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up.” Patrick asked Twiddle to do the honors and the foursome obliged. Additionally, the group put together a reggae interpretation of the program’s “Stat Of The Day” theme.
