Baltimore hardcore band Turnstile made the short journey to Washington D.C. to perform for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series. Augmented by horns and piano, the group’s setlist consisted entirely of songs from their 2025 album, Never Enough.
The five members of Turnstile – frontman Brendan Yates, guitarist Pat McCrory, bassist Franz Lyons, drummer Daniel Fang and guitarist Meg Mills – were accompanied by Tobias Moody on saxophone, Theljon Allen on trumpet and Troy Long on piano.
The five-song set featured live takes on the Never Enough songs “Dreaming,” “Sunshower,” “I Care,” “Birds” and its title track. Yates capped the session by pulling off the first Tiny Desk stage dive and crowd surf at the NPR office.
Turnstile starts The Never Enough Tour on September 15 in Nashville. The band’s fall trek features support from Speed and Jane Remover, with special guests Mannequin Pussy, Amyl and The Sniffers and Blood Orange slated to perform on various dates.
