Tune-Yards recently appeared on Seattle independent radio station KEXP’s Live On KEXP At Home series. Merrill Garbus and Nate Brenner chatted with host Larry Mizell, Jr. and were joined by their full touring band to perform four songs.
Garbus and Brenner’s discussion with Mizell focused on sketchy, an album the group released on March 26. Tune-Yards played four tunes from the LP for Live On KEXP At Home.

Merrill and Nate were joined by drummer Hamir Atwal, saxophonist Matt Nelson and vocalists Ayo Awosika and Moira Smiley at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco on February 2 to record the performances for KEXP. Up first was “hold yourself” and “hypnotized.” Tune-Yards also fit in version of sketchy tracks “my neighbor” and “make it right.”
