Trombone Shorty Jams With Foo Fighters At Voodoo In New Orleans

Back in May, Foo Fighters visited New Orleans to record a song for Sonic Highways and befriended Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews during their visit to the Crescent City. Trombone Shorty wound up contributing to Sonic Highways track “In The Clear” and guesting with the band at a surprise show. Dave Grohl & Co. invited Shorty up to share the stage on Sunday night at the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans for a reprise.

Grohl and the band started off “This Is A Call” at a funky pace and welcomed Andrews for a sizzling Trombone solo. Dave then sang the beginning of the band’s first single at the funky tempo before launching into the normal pace of the song. Watch fan-shot footage of Trombone Shorty sitting in with Foo Fighters:
