Trey Anastasio Brings Solo Acoustic Tour To Ann Arbor

Trey Anastasio continued his solo acoustic tour at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor on Friday night. Trey offered up a solo acoustic debut of Ghosts Of The Forest cut “If Again” as well as tour debuts of “Bug” and “Pebbles And Marbles.”

Anastasio kicked things off with “Set Your Soul Free” followed by “Snowflakes In The Sand.” Trey prefaced the latter with a story about how he debuted the song in Ann Arbor during his first solo acoustic show 20 years prior and also gave a shout out to Phish.net’s Scott Marks for reaching out and suggesting the song, one of his favorites. Next up came a run of “The Inlaw Josie Wales,” “Turtle In The Clouds,” “Twist” and “Water in the Sky.”

Trey then delivered the solo acoustic debut of “If Again,” which contained a “Big Black Furry Creature From Mars” tease, ahead of “Sample in a Jar,” “Brian And Robert,” “Miss You,” “Wolfman’s Brother” into “Till We Meet Again,” “Back On The Train,” and “In Long Lines.” Anastasio then delivered the tour debuts of “Bug” and “Pebbles And Marbles” with “Joy” in between. “Strange Design,” “Farmhouse,” “Sleep,” “Shade,” “Everything’s Right,” “Ghosts of the Forest” and “Blaze On” followed ahead of the set closer “Say It To Me S.A.N.T.O.S.”
