Trey Anastasio Shares Ghosts Of The Forest ‘Stumble Into Flight’ Video

Since Ghosts Of The Forest wrapped up their inaugural tour last month, the group spearheaded by Phish‘s Trey Anastasio has been rolling out new video content. Now, the band — which also features drummer Jon Fishman, bassist Tony Markellis, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and vocalists Jennifer Hartswick and Celisse — has shared a pro-shot clip of their performance of “Stumble Into Flight” from their show on April 6 at The Anthem in Washington D.C.

For the buoyant number, Trey leads the vocals with dynamic vocal support from Hartswick and Celisse. The jam portion of the tune highlights Paczkowski, who offers a bright, percussive performance on the keys. The improvisation also features an extended solo from Anastasio, who initially mirrors Ray’s rhythmic playing before opening up into a more soaring, intricate guitar work.

While the track did not appear on Ghosts Of The Forest’s debut self-titled album, “Stumble Into Flight” made it into all of the band’s concerts. Like the rest of the tour, the April 6 performance captured on the video occurred between takes on “Mint Siren Dream” and “Ruby Waves.”
