Trey Anastasio‘s Trey Anastasio Band ended a brief run of dates in Colorado on Tuesday night at the scenic Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colorado. The Phish guitarist dedicated a song to his wife on the occasion of their 25th anniversary and led his troupe through the TAB debut of a Ghosts Of The Forest song as part of last night’s concert.

The octet opened with just the second “Speak To Me” since 2017 and rolled on with a career-spanning mix of songs, including such numbers of “Sidewalks Of San Francisco,” “Night Speaks To A Woman,” “Last Tube” and “Shine.” Towards the end of the set, Anastasio fronted TAB on “A Life Beyond A Dream,” one of three Ghosts Of The Forest songs that would make the setlist in Vail on Tuesday.

Another Ghosts Of The Forest tune, “Sightless Escape,” which TAB performed for the first time on Friday in Denver, kicked off the second set. The mostly-instrumental “Burlap Sack & Pumps” then led into “46 Days” and “Valentine.” Next up was the TAB debut of “The Green Truth.” Jennifer Hartswick sang the vocal refrain at the end of the song that was sung by Celisse during the Ghosts Of The Forest tour. The rest of the frame went heavy on old school TAB staples, namely “Drifting,” “Simple Twist Up Dave,” “Heavy Things” and “Mr. Completely.”

All of the Trey Anastasio Band took the stage to start off the encore with a cover of Gorillaz’s “Clint Eastwood,” another Jennifer Hartswick showcase. Then, the rest of TAB slipped off while Anastasio told the crowd it was his 25th wedding anniversary and dedicated “Summer Of ’89,” a love song he wrote about Sue, to his wife of 25 years. “Guess who played at our wedding?” Trey asked the crowd before pointing to bassist Tony Markellis. Tony performed at the event as part of the Unknown Blues Band. Last night’s concert concluded with “Push On ‘Til The Day.”
