Phish Inducts Genesis Into Rock Hall
By Scott Bernstein Oct 9, 2014 • 12:30 pm PDT

Four years ago Phish were given the honor of inducting one of their biggest influences, Genesis, into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at a ceremony held at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City on March 15, 2010. Phish frontman Trey Anastasio gave the speech inducting Genesis into the Rock Hall, while the quartet performed “Watcher of the Skies” and “No Reply At All.”
If the cassette release of Junta in 1989 counts, Phish was eligible for induction into the Rock Hall in 2015, but as we reported that band was not among the list of nominees announced today. We hope the Vermonters will someday achieve the same honor they bestowed on Genesis.
