Earlier this month we noted the launch of a new YouTube channel from the team behind ConcertVault.com filled with exceptional live performances from rock history. For today’s Throwback Thursday column we look at one of the recently posted clips on the channel featuring the great Frank Zappa.

Zappa’s “Don’t Eat The Yellow Snow Suite” features the first four tracks of his 1974 album Apostrophe. The suite combines all the things we love about Frank -humor, exceptional musicianship and storytelling. Frank Zappa and his band played the “Don’t Eat The Yellow Snow Suite” at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ on October 13, 1978 and a video of the entire 16-minute sequence featuring pro-shot footage was posted on the Music Vault channel.
