Third Man Records To Release Yusuf/Cat Stevens Singles

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Yusuf/Cat Stevens recently held a concert on September 27 in Nashville at the famed Ryman Auditorium. While in Music City he stopped by Third Man Records and recorded two of his earliest singles at the label’s empty Blue Room.

Jack White’s Third Man Records will release Yusuf/Cat Stevens performing his 1966 pop singles “I Love My Dog” and “Matthew And Son.” The recording was captured direct-to-acetate on Third Man’s 1955 Scully lathe and marks the second installment Blue Room Sessions series, joining the previously issued live Pearl Jam release.

The Blue Room Sessions 7-inch will be available on black vinyl starting on November 25. It features artwork designed by illustrator Jess Rotter. Head here for ordering information.
