Musical guests The War On Drugs appeared on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The group performed a recently issued single from their upcoming new studio album A Deeper Understanding.

More so than on previous The War On Drugs albums, frontman Adam Granduciel made recording of the 10 tracks more of a group effort, incorporating the input of bassist Dave Hartley, keyboardist Robbie Bennett, drummer Charlie Hall and multi-instrumentalists Anthony LaMarca and Jon Natchez. Atlantic Records will release the follow-up to 2014’s Lost In The Dream on August 25.
