The War On Drugs today shared “Change,” the latest single from their upcoming I Don't Live Here Anymore studio album. The track is one of 10 songs featured on the LP which arrives this Friday, October 29 via Atlantic Records.

I Don’t Live Here Anymore marks the first new studio album from The War On Drugs since 2017’s Grammy-winning A Deeper Understanding. Adam Granduciel and company worked on the LP in seven different studios over the course of three years. Granduciel tapped longtime collaborator Shawn Everett to co-produce and engineer I Don’t Live Here Anymore.

Adam Granduciel shared the following about “Change” during an appearance with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1:

“I think this song in the record is kind of like about move into a new chapter gracefully, you know what I mean? And accept that everyone makes mistakes or has a difficult time with certain things or wish they could have done this or that. But when it’s time to commit and to just move forward to do so knowing that you live by a certain code or that you kind of have been through enough to where you want to understand what it is you’re looking for in your new chapter.”
