The Strokes Share ‘Ode To The Mets’ Video

The Strokes shared the video for “Ode To The Mets.” The song appears on the band’s 2020 album, The New Abnormal.

The Strokes tapped longtime friend and collaborator Warren Fu to direct the new visual, loosely inspired by a conversation Fu and Strokes singer Julian Casablancas had about the intro to the sitcom Cheers. The animated video takes viewers on a journey through eight chapters from the prehistoric era to an underwater New York City and more. Fu enlisted the help of eight different animators for the scenes and also included a number of easter eggs.
