In March, The Smile debuted a new song, “Don’t Get Me Started,” while on tour supporting their sophomore album, Wall Of Eyes, which they released in January. The band – Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet’s Tom Skinner – shared a studio recording of “Don’t Get Me Started,” with an accompanying video directed by Weirdcore.

The Smile debuted “Don’t Get Me Started” during their March 20 concert at SEC Armadillo in Glasgow, Scotland. The song frequented setlists throughout the band’s tour of Europe in June.

The trio intended to continue touring in Europe this month but canceled the outing after Greenwood “became seriously ill from an infection that needed emergency hospital treatment” that included a stint in intensive care. Greenwood was said to be “out of danger” while recovering.

A limited edition two-song 12-inch single featuring “Don’t Get Me Started” backed by another new track, “The Slip,” was released by XL Recordings last Friday at select record stores around the world.
