The Murlocs shared a new single, “Queen Pinky.” The track is the final preview for the Melbourne, Australia-based band’s upcoming album, Calm Ya Farm, due out on May 19 through ATO Records.

The band led by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s Ambrose Kenny-Smith announced the country rock-inspired Calm Ya Farm in March. The title is “something my partner always says to me when I’m feeling stressed-out or anxious,” Ambrose noted. “It made sense with the whole country theme of the record, but it’s generally a good reminder for day-to-day life.”

The Murlocs — vocalist/guitarist/harmonica player Kenny-Smith, his King Gizz bandmate bassist Cook Craig, guitarist Callum Shortal, drummer Matt Blach and keyboardist Tim Karmouche — previewed Calm Ya Farm with “Initiative” in March and “Undone and Unashamed” in April.

The final album preview, “Queen Pinky,” “takes on a heart-melting tenderness as the newly married Kenny-Smith delivers a sprawling and gorgeously spacey serenade to his wife,” as per a press release for the new single.
