Colorado funk ensemble The Motet confirmed details of their 10th studio album, Love Time, which is due out on November 15. The band previewed their first record with singer Sarah Clarke by sharing its disco-tinged lead single, “Job Site.”

Sarah Clarke joined The Motet last summer after stints fronting Con Brio, Dirty Revival and Outer Orbit. Clarke is part of a Motet lineup that includes longtime members Dave Watts (drums), Joey Porter (keyboards), Garrett Sayers (bass) and Drew Sayers (keyboards/saxophone).

The Motet assembled at Denver’s renowned Colorado Sound Studios to record Love Time. The band previously went the instrumental route on their last album, 2023’s All Day.

“Job Site” was written by The Motet guitarist Ryan Jalbert. “’Job Site’ is essentially an ode to the feeling of relief that music provides amidst life’s troubles. Whether you’re the maker or the listener, and whether you’re at a show or home with your headphones, we’ve all experienced the moment when the right song at the right time can lift a weight off your chest and crack your heart wide open,” Jalbert explained.

“This life on the road has its share of ups and downs but I consider myself blessed that my ‘Job Site’ is creating music with my friends,” Jalbert continued before he echoed the song’s chorus, “When it’s a good day on the job I can just ‘hold on and let it carry me.’”
