Photos: Chris Robinson Brotherhood Wraps Run In San Francisco & Reveals New Year’s Eve Plans

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood held a three night stand at The Fillmore in San Francisco last week. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights each featured two sets by The CRB and all three shows included cover debuts during the evenings’ encores. As reported, Thursday’s opener featured a debut cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together” on the anniversary of John Lennon’s death. Friday’s T. Rex-focused encore saw frontman Chris Robinson lead the group through a cover of “Rabbit Fighter,” following it with the first CRB rendition of “The Slider” and the massive hit for Marc Bolan’s band “Get It On.” Saturday’s show was capped with Barry Sless sitting-in on three Sir Douglas Quintet cover debuts: “Stoned Faces Don’t Lie,” “She’s About A Mover” and “Mendocino.”

Following The Fillmore run The Chris Robinson Brotherhood announced their New Year’s Eve plans. The CRB will ring in 2017 at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California with concerts in the Grate Room on December 30 and 31. Head here for more information and links to purchase tickets.
