The Avett Brothers Unveil New Single ‘Sun, Flood, Or Drought’

North Carolina Americana act The Avett Brothers released a new single “Sun, Flood, Or Drought” that the band recorded for inclusion in the film The Biggest Little Farm. The Avett Brothers shared a video for the song, which premiered via Rolling Stone.

The Biggest Little Farm, due in theaters this Friday, documents the transition of couple John & Molly Chester and their dog from city dwellers to farmers who work to develop 200 acres of land into a sustainable farm. The Chesters envision a traditional farm from the past in which they build a life in perfect balance with nature. Challenges abound for the Chesters and their dog including nearby wildfires.

“Sun, Flood, Or Drought” is the fourth single The Avetts have unveiled since November. “Roses & Sacrifice,” “Trouble Letting Go” and “Neopolitan Sky” were each released in recent months. Watch the video for “Sun, Flood, Or Drought” below:
