Terrapin Crossroads announced the postponement of this weekend’s Workingman’s Dead and Festival Express tributes to July. The music venue and restuarant announced it would not open today after one of its staff members reported having a mild fever. All Terrapin Crossroads staff members are being tested for COVID-19 and the venue will reopen when it can be “100% sure” the entire staff is healthy.

Terrapin Crossroads will host a pair of tributes at its outdoor Beach Park this weekend. The action starts on Friday, June 26 with a tribute to Workingman’s Dead featuring Grahame Lesh and Stu Allen. Grahame and Stu will then be joined by Jason Crosby for a concert honoring Festival Express.

The Grateful Dead’s Workingman’s Dead studio album was released 50 years ago in 1970, the same year the famed Festival Express tour trekked across Canada via train with the Dead, The Band, Janis Joplin and more in tow. Highlights from Festival Express are featured in a 2003 documentary/concert film.

Grahame and Stu will perform Workingman’s Dead in its entirety on Friday night. The venue will abide by social distancing guidelines by spacing out tables in Beach Park. Tickets are on sale now via Terrapin Crossroads’ website and include dinner.
