Sara Bareilles welcomed Celisse during the encores of her two shows on Friday and Saturday at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Celisse opened both concerts and on both nights returned to add vocals to Bareilles’ song “Salt Then Sour Then Sweet.”
The shows in San Francisco were part of Bareilles’ The Good Grief Tour. The singer-songwriter is performing in support of Good Grief, Bareilles’ first album since 2019, which was released in August.
“Salt Then Sour Then Sweet” comes from Good Grief. Celisse’s frequent collaborator Brandi Carlile contributed to the album version of the track.
Bareilles’ setlists drew on Good Grief throughout the concerts, including lead single “Home,” “Still Crying” and “Just a Kid.” She also covered Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” and played older songs such as “Love Song,” “King of Anything” and “Brave.”
