On September 30 a deluxe edition of the 1991 self-titled debut Temple of the Dog album will be issued to mark the 25th anniversary of the supergroup’s lone LP to date. The updated release includes an alternate mix of the TOTD original “Say Hello 2 Heaven” which has been shared accompanied by a “pseudo” video.

Their 1991 debut LP remains the lone full length studio album recorded by the soon-to-reunite supergroup featuring grunge pioneers bassist Jeff Ament and guitarists Stone Gossard and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell and drummer Matt Cameron who performs with both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. The deluxe edition includes a total of 51 tracks, all but three of which were previously unreleased mixes or songs.

McCready recently spoke optimistically about the prospect of a new Temple Of The Dog album. He also discussed the possibility of TOTD collaborator and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joining the band’s first tour in November. Give a listen to the newly shared mix of “Say Hello 2 Heaven” via the pseudo video below:
