In November grunge supergroup Temple of the Dog will reassemble for a special tour in honor of the 25th anniversary of their lone, self-titled album. Guitarist Mike McCready has revealed he’s open to finally recording and releasing a follow-up to the band’s 1991 debut.

Speaking with Classic Rock, the guitarist discussed the future of the group that includes his Pearl Jam band mates bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard, Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell and drummer Matt Cameron (who plays with both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam). McCready was asked about the prospect of a second LP, to which he responded:

I really hope so, I’d love to. I’m there. If anybody wants to start writing for Temple Of The Dog, I will be there to play guitar if they want me. We’re very busy with our band right now and Chris has been on such a long tour, so he’s been very busy. So in terms of timing, who knows, But I hope we can do new songs.

Though not part of the 25th anniversary tour that will support a deluxe reissue of Temple Of The Dog, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder – who contributed to the first LP – was also a topic of discussion for McCready. Leaving open the possibility that Vedder will guest with the outfit during the tour that begins November 4 at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia, McCready told the outlet:

I haven’t heard whether he’s going to be a part of this or not. I would love it if Eddie would do it. It’s kind of up to him and Chris but there hasn’t been any discussion about it so far.

The Temple Of The Dog Tour also includes stops in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle. The supergroup has performed together only a few times, notably holding concerts in Seattle in late 1990. Cornell joined Pearl Jam in 2014 at the Bridge School show and again during their two-night 20th anniversary celebration at Alpine Valley in 2011. A TOTD reunion of sorts was held at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall in January 2015 in which “Reach Down” and “Call Me a Do” were performed.

In other Temple Of The Dog news, the band has shared a stream of their demo for “Angel Of Fire.” Head to TempleOfTheDog.com to listen.
