Telluride Jazz 2014 | Lettuce, Nigel Hall Band, DVS

The 38th annual installment of the Telluride Jazz Festival will take place in the scenic mountain town between August 1 and 3. Recently, event organizers have announced the initial lineup for this year’s festival. 
Lettuce, Grupo Fantasma, Poncho Sanchez and His Latin Jazz Band, Monty Alexander and Harlem-Kingston Express, Jon Cleary, the Nigel Hall Band, DVS (Mike Dillon, Johnny Vidacovich & James Singleton) with Carly Meyers, Red Baraat, The Crescent Super Band and the Telluride Student Jazz All-Stars Ensemble are all set to play the fest this August.
The performances take place on two outdoor stages with the action at night moving to Telluride’s historic theaters and clubs. Sunday’s performances will be a tribute to New Orleans. Look for another batch of artists to be announced soon.
Tickets are available through the event’s website and are on “super sale” through the end of the month.
