Relix shared pro-shot video of Tedeschi Trucks Band welcoming jazz legend Branford Marsalis on saxophone at LOCKN’ 2018. The sit-in sees Branford and the band performing Derek Trucks’ “Mahjoun.”

“Mahjoun” originally appears on The Derek Trucks Band’s 2006 album Songlines. For the 2018 LOCKN’ performance, the tune sees some fine flute playing from the late great Kofi Burbridge, who was a member of The Derek Trucks Band in 2006 and would go on to join Tedeschi Trucks Band when they formed in 2010. The LOCKN’ performance also features some great interplay between Burbridge and Branford.
