Viral video star Tay Zonday scored a viral hit in 2007 with his song “Chocolate Rain.” Phish covered the tune during their Baker’s Dozen residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City and Zonday returned the favor by reciting the band’s “Ass Handed.”

Tay Zonday provided his take on “Ass Handed” via the Cameo platform in a video shared with JamBase by Will Broen. Zonday’s rendition came less than three years after Phish performed an a capella “Chocolate Rain” featuring Page McConnell on a midi controller keyboard to kick off their “double chocolate” show at MSG on July 28, 2017. “Ass Handed” was penned by Phish drummer Jon Fishman and debuted live by the quartet on July 15, 2016.
