NPR Music shared video of Tarriona “Tank” Ball’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert. For the performance, the Tank and the Bangas frontwoman sang about social distancing from the safety of her home.

“I’m very proud to do this, I’m very scared to do this,” Ball said in a statement, “but I’m obviously practicing social distancing cause my group is not here.”

In 2017, Ball’s group, New Orleans’ Tank and the Bangas, won NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest. Over the course of her 14-minute Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, Tank freestyles about social distancing while using a version of Korg’s music software called the iKaossilator as well as turning everyday items — like a suitcase, a jar of cocoa butter and a cassette box — into percussive instruments.
