Tame Impala Shares Funk-Infused ‘Loser’ Single & Music Video Starring Joe Keery

Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) is back with more new music, this time in the form of the single “Loser.” The latest track from the visionary producer and multi-instrumentalist arrived with a music video directed by Kristofski and starring actor/musician Joe Keery (Stranger Things, Djo).
“Loser” follows “End of Summer,” a sprawling seven-minute track marking the first Tame Impala solo release since 2023’s “Journey To The World,” which was included on the Barbie soundtrack. Tame Impala collaborated with Justice on the track “Neverender” in 2024, which clocked Parker his first Grammy win.

Where “End of Summer” was highly informed by decades of dance music, “Loser” is a funkier track with a grinding guitar riff, blinking synth accents and Parker’s signature lyrical style and vocal delivery.
The music video for “Loser” stars Joe Keery, whose musical nom de plume is Djo. Parker has been teasing the song and video via social media in the run up to the release.
