The Tallest Man On Earth Plots Fall Tour & Shares ‘Henry St.’ Single

The Tallest Man on Earth (Swedish musician Kristian Matsson) announced 2023 fall tour dates around his upcoming album, Henry St., due out on April 14 via ANTI- Records. Along with the tour dates, Matsson also shared the LP’s title track.

Produced by Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn, Henry St. is Matsson’s first LP in four years and the first Tallest Man On Earth album recorded with a band. One of those contributors was renowned keyboardist Phil Cook, who helped Kristian out on the newly released title track, originally intended as a solo piece.

“I had Phil basically hanging over my shoulders at the piano while we were playing, and then he recorded it,” Matsson recalled. “He improvised that beautiful outro. When he did, our jaws dropped––I was in tears.”

The Tallest Man On Earth is set to tour this spring but has already made plans for fall with the autumn trek getting underway on September 5 in Durham, North Carolina. Concerts in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston and Brooklyn follow.

A swing through Canada begins with a show in Montreal on September 13 followed by a trip to Toronto. Matsson returns to the U.S. with Midwest engagements in Detroit, Chicago and St. Paul.

A stop in Bozeman, Montana on September 21 proceeds a run through the Pacific Northwest with shows in Seattle, Vancouver and Portland. The Tallest Man On Earth hits Los Angeles on September 29 ahead of a concert in San Diego.

October 1 sees Matsson in Tucson, Arizona followed by two Texas plays in Austin and Dallas. The Tallest Man On Earth rounds out the fall trek with stops in St. Louis, Nashville, Knoxville and Atlanta. The tour concludes on October 14 in Asheville, North Carolina.
