The founding members of Talking Heads continued their publicity tour surrounding the 40th anniversary and re-release of their iconic 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. After Talking Heads sat for an interview, they watched as musical guests The Linda Lindas capped the episode with a cover of the legendary rock band’s song “Found A Job.”

The Linda Lindas contributed their rendition of “Found A Job” to Everyone’s Involved: A Tribute To Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, a covers compilation that arrived on May 17 via A24 Music. The band comprised of Bela Salazar, Eloise Wong and sisters Lucia and Mila de la Garza also performed the tune off Talking Heads’ More Songs About Buildings and Food last night at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn to kick off a Stop Making Sense event that included a screeing of the movie and Q&A with the members of the legendary rock band hosted by Questlove.

Talking Heads’ David Byrne, Jerry Harrison, Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz spoke with Jimmy Fallon about the making of Stop Making Sense, their introduction to the film’s director Jonathan Demme, how the band helped birth the “new wave” movement and why they felt it was important to record each album in a different environment. Fallon also showed a clip of David Byrne practicing dance moves he was trying out to use in Stop Making Sense.
