‘Sunshine Daydream’ Brings Grateful Dead Live Recordings From Archive To Amazon Echo

A new skill for the Amazon Echo or Alexa devices allows users to stream hundreds of Grateful Dead recordings from the Live Music Archive. The folks behind Jam.Buzz have launched the free “Sunshine Daydream” skill that links Echo and such devices to Dead recordings on the Archive.

To use the skill, simply say “Alexa, open Sunshine Daydream” and follow the prompts. Once the skill is open, say “Alexa, ask Sunshine Daydream to” either “Steal my face,” “Keep truckin’, “Let there be songs to fill the air” or “Play some dead.” Users can also ask Sunshine Daydream to shuffle and if you close the skill in the middle of a jam it will pick up right where you left off the next time you open the skill.

Head here for more info on the skill, which is made by a fan and not associated with the band.
