Sturgill Simpson Confirms 2017 Tour Dates

Country-rocker Sturgill Simpson will soon embark on a series of dates that include headlining performances at some of the nation’s most prestigious venues and previously announced festival appearances. Simpson has added over a dozen concerts to his touring itinerary today, with most scheduled to take place in September.

Up first for Sturgill is an appearance at the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in Florida on March 4. Then, on May 6, he plays The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, Alabama. Simpson returns to the road in July for concerts in Charlotte, Cary and Atlanta as well as slots at the Forecastle, Sloss and Fuji Rock festivals.

In September, Sturgill Simpson will begin the month with a series of shows in Texas followed by performances at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion and Boston’s Blue Hills Bank Pavilion. From there, Sturgill heads to the Midwest with stops in Detroit, St. Louis and Chicago ahead of gigs at Red Rocks in Colorado, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland and Marymoor Amphitheater in Redmond, Washington. The tour is currently scheduled to end at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on October 6.

Tickets for the newly announced shows go on-sale Thursday, February 16.
