The Strokes will end 2019 and ring in 2020 with a New Year’s Eve concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The band’s hometown performance comes after their last hometown appearance, at the Governor’s Ball festival, was canceled.

“People wanted us to play a show in NY. So we thought o.k.,” reads a note on The Strokes’ social feeds. The group’s last hometown arena show took place on April 1, 2011 at Madison Square Garden across the East River from Barclays in Manhattan.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 9 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. Governors Ball three-day and Sunday pass holders will be able to participate in a pre-sale this Tuesday, August 6 at 10 a.m. ET.
