Guitarist Daniel Donato added The String Cheese Incident to his ever-growing list of jam scene bands he has sat-in with following a collaboration on Sunday at The Mexico Incident in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Artists At Large trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick and trombonist Natalie Cressman of the Trey Anastasio Band were also back to join SCI again on night two.

Donato, who also performed at The Mexico Incident with his band Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country, was the first to emerge near the end of The String Cheese Incident’s first set. The extra guitarist accompanied the group on “Outside And Inside” and traded licks with SCI guitarist Bill Nershi and mandolinist Michael Kang during the ensuing jam. The set ended with Donato’s guitar talents on full display during a cover of The Allman Brother Band’s classic “Jessica.”

The second set also saw SCI turning to classic rock by opening with the location-appropriate cover of “The Ocean.” Hartswick sang lead and played trumpet on the Led Zeppelin tune. JHa’s trumpet was also added to the mix for Sunday’s “Rosie” encore, which also featured Cressman’s trombone.
