Last night, The String Cheese Incident‘s March Madness Tour rolled into Los Angeles for a performance at The Novo. SCI continues to dig deep into its extensive repertoire as there haven’t been many repeats over the course of the tour which concludes this weekend with three shows at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.

Thursday night’s show featured the tour debuts of “Djibouti Bump,” “Doin’ My Time,” “The Pygmy Pony,” “Cedar Laurels” and “Hollywood Swinging” within the first set. SCI originally performed their cover of Kool & The Gang’s “Hollywood Swinging” as part of the String Cheese & The Gang set at the 2014 Lockn’ Festival and the only other two versions prior to the geographically-appropriate version in L.A. took place at Hulaween ’14 and Electric Forest ’15.

The String Cheese Incident opened the second set at The Novo with “BollyMunster” and “Close Your Eyes” ahead of the year’s first “Bam!” Tour debuts of “Love Is Like A Train” and “Sand Dollar” came next. “Joyful Sound” then led into “Rumble” while “Beautiful” concluded the second set. SCI had one more treat in store for the St. Patrick’s Day Incident as the band’s first cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie On Reggae Woman” since November 5, 2014 served as the evening’s encore.

All three of this weekend’s SCI shows at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas can be streamed live via nugs.tv webcasts. The run spans tonight through Sunday evening.
