String Cheese Incident Celebrates Album With Free Show

On Monday evening String Cheese Incident celebrated the release of Song In My Head, an album that came out today, with a free show on the streets of their hometown -Boulder, CO. The lone set was heavy on tunes from Song In My Head with eight of the album’s 10 tracks making the setlist.

“We wanted to do something fun in our home state. Since we are not playing Red Rocks this summer, we wanted to play for our local family. It was also important to support the Hill and the local businesses,” bassist Keith Moseley told the Daily Camera. SCI didn’t only perform songs from Song In My Head as they also threw in a handful of classics such as “Outside And Inside,” “Best Feeling” and “Rivertrance” as well as a cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie On Reggae Woman.” The free show came to a close with a three-song encore of “BollyMunster,” “Can’t Wait Another Day” and “Rosie.” The band now heads to New Orleans, where they are set to perform at the Fairgrounds as part of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Thursday.

A replay of the set is still viewable as of press time:
