Update: Pink Floyd has shared the Electronic Press Kit for The Endless River. Watch David Gilmour and Nick Mason discuss the album, along with behind-the-scenes footage of the 1993 recording sessions that yielded the new LP:

This morning BBC Radio debuted the first full track to emerge off the new Pink Floyd album, The Endless River. The beautiful “Louder Than Words” is the rare song on the album with lyrics and they were penned by guitarist David Gilmour’s wife, Polly Samson. Speaking of Gilmour, his signature tone is at the heart of the track, which also features a choir and has that ethereal Pink Floyd sound.

Take a listen to Pink Floyd’s “Louder Than Words”:

Gilmour told The Guardian that The Endless River, which is due on November 10, will be the last new record Pink Floyd puts out. In reference to “Louder Than Words,” Gilmour said “Well, Rick is gone. This is the last thing that’ll be out from us. I’m pretty certain there will not be any follow up to this. And Polly, my wife, thought that would be a very good lyrical idea to go out on. A way of describing the symbiosis that we have. Or had… I didn’t necessarily always give [Wright] his proper due. People have very different attitudes to the way they work and we can become very judgmental and think someone is not quite pulling his weight enough, without realising that theirs is a different weight to pull.”
