Tonight, guitarist Steve Kimock will perform both as a member of Zero and leading Steve Kimock & Friends at a benefit concert in honor of late poster artist Dave Hunter at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. If you can’t make it to GAMH in person, there’s an option to watch from home or wherever you have an internet connection. Additionally, Kimock will team with members of Electric Beethoven for a Dead & Company after show in Chicago on June 30.
nugs.net will host a webcast of this evening’s Art & Soul: A Concert In Honor Of Dave Hunter benefit concert live from San Francisco. All proceeds benefit Dave’s daughter, Jaz Hunter. Dave – who designed posters for Primus, Metallica, Kimock, a bevy of Grateful Dead-related projects and more – recently passed away after a fierce battle with brain cancer. Tickets for the concert are on sale here, while the webcast can be pre-ordered via nugs.tv.
After Dead & Company’s concert at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on June 30 Steve Kimock will play a late-night show across the street at the iconic Metro. Kimock will be joined by Reed Mathis, Jay Lane, Todd Stoops and Clay Welch, who are all members of Electric Beethoven. Tickets are expected to go on sale this Monday, May 15. Stay tuned for more details about the format of the concert.
