Steve Gunn Shares Two New Songs

By Andy Kahn Jun 18, 2019 9:14 am PDT

Steve Gunn shared two new songs, “Be Still Moon” and “Shrunken Heads.” The tracks were recorded during the same sessions for the guitarist’s latest album, The Unseen In Between, which was produced by James Elkington and issued by Matador earlier this year .

“Be Still Moon” is described as “a swaying acoustic waltz” that highlights Gunn’s “melodic fretwork,” while the description of “Shrunken Heads” calls it “a rhythmic call-and-response refrain against kaleidoscopic country guitars.” Gunn will tour Europe and North America in July, August and September, with a batch of solo dates opening for Dinosaur Jr. in October also added to his schedule.
