St. Vincent (Annie Clark) will issue a new album, All Born Screaming, on April 26 via Virgin Music Group. Previewing the LP is the single/video, “Broken Man,” featuring Dave Grohl on drums.

St. Vincent stepped into role as sole producer for the first time on All Born Screaming, with Cian Riordan handling mixing duties. Along with Grohl, Clark assembled an impressive lineup to perform on the record including Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke.

“St. Vincent’s first self-produced record, All Born Screaming is Clark at her most unfiltered,” as per a press release. “Assuming the mantle of sole producer made for an unprecedented direct translation to tape of the sounds originating in her head, heart and hands.”

“There are some places, emotionally, that you can only get to by taking the long walk into the woods alone—to find out what your heart is really saying,” Clark said of the creative process on All Born Screaming. “It sounds real because it is real.”

St. Vincent’s album announcement arrived with an accompanying video for lead single “Broken Man,” directed by Alex Da Corte. The new track features Dave Grohl on drums.

“Dave is one of the greatest drummers ever because he’s a great songwriter,” Clark said of the Foo Fighters frontman’s contribution on “Broken Man.” Watch the “Broken Man” video below:
