By Scott Bernstein Aug 16, 2019 10:13 am PDT

On June 21, Spafford debuted a new original entitled “Be Strange” during their set opening for Umphrey’s McGee at the scenic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Spafford unveiled pro-shot video of the first performance of the reggae-tinged tune.

Guitarist Brian Moss handles lead vocals on “Be Strange,” which is the first original the band added to their repertoire since drummer Nick Tkachyk rejoined the group. Spafford also debuted “Pretty Mama” during the same Red Rocks set. The quartet has gone on to perform both songs two more times since the June 21 set.
